So, I read on their website that there will be a snow area at Sea World when we go later this month. Being from southern Arizona, my girls have seen (very light) snow three times in their lifetime (my youngest was 3 weeks old when it snowed the first time for her, so she only remembers 1 or 2 of the times). So, I know they will want to play in the snow. However, being from southern AZ, we have like no snow clothes. What will they need in order to enjoy maybe an hour of snow play? I was thinking maybe a change of pants and waterproof gloves?

It's been a long time since I've done the snow in CA thing. But, from what I remember, it's nothing like playing in the snow after a snow storm (even a CA snow storm). It's warm out and the snow is pretty icy. I can remember throwing snowballs with bare hands. Totally different than the bundling up my kids have to do in CO. I've seen more recent pictures of my CA friends' kids in the snow at Sea World in shorts and t-shirts. If you think your kids will want to spend a lot of time playing, then, yes, they will probably get wet. And their hands may get cold. I guess that's a long way of saying that your plan for an extra pair of pants and some gloves is probably all you'd need. :)

Sounds good. Now to look for waterproof gloves (we'll be there in a week - yikes!). I haven't seen kids sizes at our stores. I'm thinking of hunting up my leather gloves and seeing if they'll fit my (just turned) 9 yr old.
