Snow after fireworks show in DL

Hi all,

I've been searching the forums in vain, trying to find out any details about the snow effects that occurs around Christmas at Disneyland.

We'll be there on November 13 & 15 and I've heard the snow may already be up and running at this point.

So here are my questions: where does all this take place? Is it only on a certain section of Main Street & around the hub, or is it all over the park? Where is the ideal place to view the fireworks and experience the snow effects afterwards?

They do snow in the places people tend to be congregated for the fireworks--the Hub and Main Street (including Town Square), Rivers of America and near It's a Small World.

It's fake snow of course, it's some sort of white powder that blows out from the buildings and lamp posts from all round the hub and down Main Street for about 15 minutes after the fireworks end.

It doesn't settle on the ground, but look nice as the lights reflect on it - it's purely a visual effect.

When do they start this? We will be there 11/9-11.

The "snow" is actually tiny soap bubbles. I have seen the snow in all three locations. Main St. is the best place. If there is any breeze, the Main St. buildings help block it and the snow comes down decently. The other two locations the snow blows away and doesn't look very convincing. On Main St. there is a large amount of snow machines and it really looks like it is snowing sometimes.

I haven't heard if they are actually going to do it this year. Usually during the holidays (beginning in early November) they change the fireworks show to a holiday version, but I'm pretty sure they are going to continue with the new show for the 50th, Remember Dreams Come True. At least through November, that is what is listed on the calendar. It is possible that they may add a holiday element to th end of Remember, then they could do the snow.
