Snorkeling in Castaway Cay

Before our last cruise, we had heard that there were hidden Disney surprises to find in the snorkeling area at Castaway Cay(we were thinking statues). My son and I searched and searched and never found anything. In fact, we never saw much except one small stingray. Is there anything to actually find? If so, where are they? Can we get a map?

There used to be a map and a few more of the plaques on the bottom. Over time, the plaques were lost for 1 reason or another so Disney went with the ball system which is easier to maintain. the plaques basically told the tale of Castaway Cay. The one I took a pic of I'm surprised it was still there. Its the only 1 I know of and is on the side closest to the ship. The map used to have a fish id on the other side so you could match the name to the fish.

Thanks for all the advice! I am really tempted to try to see it. I guess I'll wait and see for myself how it looks when I get there.

We went all the way, and we're not active people all. It was worth it! My arms and legs were so tired but the vest helps you float there
