snorkeling at VB?

We just booked a 4 day cruise (!) and will be purchasing snorkeling gear from Costco for the trip but we're going to Vero BEach next month for the first time and was wondering if there is any good snorkeling there?

There is no snorkling (unless the pool) at VB. The ocean has some beautiful waves and is not condusive to snorkling. Indian River may have snorkling, but I'm not sure what's in the water.....

There should be a phone number for VB, ask them and they will be able to help you.

BTW, we do 3 days in VB and then the 7 day cruise. It's an excellent way to winddown before going on the cruise. My favorite vacation. Best of luck and weather to you.

I thought the area code for VB was 772?? Do 561 and 772 both work. I know they have been changing a lot of area codes here lately and both work for a while and then after 6 months only the new one works.

Thanks for the heads up...they were both working ,now only the 772 exchange is working.

thanks for the replies...I'm not too much of a die-hard snorkler - so I think I'll just enjoy the beach...

Can't descide whether to do 2 nights at DW before we go (have Ap's - so it's tempting) or at VB - I guess I'll wait to see how we like it at Vero in April....what a terrible decision!
