Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

We are leaving on 3/10 for the 3 day Disney Cruise. We have signed up for the Nasuau catamaran and snorkeling excursion as well as the Castaway Cay snorkeling/float/bike rental. We have friends that just got back from this past week's cruise and they said the temperature was pretty cool. Should I cancel the snorkeling? Does DIsney cancel the excursions if it gets to cool? What do you suggest? Yikes!

#1 DH and I will be on the same cruise. We went this time last year and I can tell you the water is like ICE! :cold: IMHO

DH, DS-12, and DD-9 did get in and swim, but I don't see how. I never made it past my ankles. We had rented snorkel gear and NEVER used them. DD did use the float to keep as much of her skinny little body out of the water.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's warmer, but am perfectly prepared to just sit and drink Konk Koolers all day! :drinking1

It takes awhile for the water to warm up in those areas. Even 72° -74° is pretty cold when you are bare skinned. You could always wear a wetsuit, but that involves buying one, because I don't believe they rent those at CC. Maybe the catamaran does rentals.

This time of year the 7-day cruise is nice, since it goes down further South. Warmer waters are best!!

Honestly, some people like me get cold no matter what!!!! I was freezing last June in St. Thomas. Then again, the family joke is that it could be in the 90's and I will be wrapped inside a blanket. I have no cold tolerance.

I am going to get one of the wetsuit type tops for our next one.

Hubby, daughter and I cruised last march. While the water temp is a bit cool, it is still very nice, the sun is shining bright, and we got sunburn like you wouldn't believe. It only takes a minute to adjust to the water temp and you are good to go. Don't cancel your excursion..have fun!
