Sneak Peak at Something New

John,

Heads up. When doing any sort of blog restaurant reviews, I highly recommend linking to/inserting the Urbanspoon widget. It shows that restaurants rating on your site, and publishes your blog on the urbanspoon page for that restaurant. It's a great traffic source. http://www.urbanspoon.com/faq#faq-question-56

Thanks for the input Andy.

Right now I'm looking to do something different with this site other than restaurant ratings. There are a lot of great sites out there that do that at the moment. For now I'm really hoping this site is more about the food stories and people sharing their restuarant 'gems'. I want to share some of the stories and experiences I have had and heard from others - as well as encourage people to share those.

That's not to say that in the future I wouldn't include information like this.

Consider me intrigued!

Even if you're not interested in the other blog posts I strongly recommend reading Heather Weihl's blog about her food journey - http://foodietales.com/2012/09/my-food-journey/

If you don't know, Heather is CircusGirl on the boards. I really love this story. She should turn this into a movie :worship:
I love this line: "Despite these moments of assimilation, I always knew that real whipped cream didn’t come out of a can, great bread was not white and flimsy, and made from scratch mostly ruled."

What a movie title: "Made from Scratch Mostly Ruled."

And since the brothers immigrated to the US from Italy, perhaps there could be a prequal set in Venice?

Such a wonderful idea, can't wait to see this develop!

The site has already been bookmarked. Fantastic idea guys!! Loved heather's story. I can totally relate growing up in an Italian household where my grandmother was making home made pasta and hand grinding the meat for the meatballs. I will be eagerly awaiting new content.
