I've never seen a snake at DW, but my sister and her girls saw a big black (harmless) one at Blizzard Beach once. And DH and one of our boys saw one swimming in the tube river thingy there one time, as well. I guess people were bailing out of the water as fast as their arms and legs would carry them
!! We used to camp at FW. Some of us would sleep in the pop-up, and the boys would sleep in a tent. I worried tremendously about any unwelcome guests who might find their way into that tent, but the only time any critter got in, it turned out to be a little suction-cup frog who could cover twenty feet in one leap. Watching DH try to catch that little guy with a paper cup, in the dark, trying to keep the hub-bub down, is still one of the funniest incidents our family ever had at DW. And we have seen a tremendous number of armadillos grubbing around, as well as bunnies and lizards. We think they're all cool, but we don't try to catch any of them. Every critter has its defense mechanism, so rather than take any chances we get a picture of whoever and give them plenty of space.
