The snake is heading towards the Directv cable that goes into the attic. The cable is hidden behind the left most gray pipe. Mice got into the attic last winter by climbing the cable. Mr. No Legs is hunting.....

This is not the first time a black snake has been climbing our walls. This snake was between 36-48 inches long. :scared1::laughing: I have seen a smaller 24 inch long black snake on the side of the house as well.

We had the windows open the day this happened. We have casements windows which open OUT with the screen is on the inside of the window. I walked into our bedroom and looked at the top of the window and thought we had a problem. ;) Looked like a black gasket had come loose from the window.....

Then I remembered that we don't have black gaskets on the window.....

The snake had climbed up a step ladder on the porch and it had gotten on top of the window. It was chasing the scent of mice. :sad1: It can have as many mice as it wants.

This snake went around the back of the house to the front porch. It then climbed a brick column and got ONTO THE ROOF! Amazing to watch but no photos. What was more impressive was it getting OFF the roof. Found a little cousin of this snake climbing a tree in the front yard. :scared1::banana: The little snake is about 24 inches long. There is another black snake that has to be close to 6 feet long. I have seen its old skin and the snake itself a time or two. Its big. Black. And fast! :scared1::laughing:

Killed a Copperhead last Thursday down by our gate.:scared1:

Y'all are welcome to visit any time you like!

OMG! Those pictures are crazy!:scared1: I don't think I ever realized that a snake could climb walls...yuck, it gives me the eebie-jeebies!

I think I would move.

I can't handle snakes...... I grew up on a farm but was scared out of my mind to go in the barns because there were snakes. I was never a fan of the mice either.

Ugggghhhh - that is skin crawlingly nasty :scared1:

I have a phobia of snakes and can't stand to see them on TV let alone in my house or hotel room. I think from now on I will get DH to check out our room incase we have a visitor :scared:

Yuck :faint:

We had a nice little snake who came to visit us :scared1: He decided to use the gap under the condo door ;)

And this is the reason to turn on the light in the bathroom in the middle of the night. ick, ick, ick!

AHH! :scared1:

I was thinking about this when Pete suggested getting an upper floor room because the thread that was on the boards around last year (with creepy photos included), if I remember correctly they were on an upper floor. I guess you just take your chances!

My parents live in FLA. They have a house with a large screened in porch that has three sets of sliding doors into the house. They have a decent size walk in closet..

Can you guess were this is going?

My mom walked into the closet one day to get something and she noticed the black handle of a purse sticking out from under a pile towels. It struck her as not right but she went on with her chores...

She came and went from the closet a few more times and every time she passed the purse it bothered her a bit more. She did not have a purse like that and it would not be on the floor....:rotfl2:

Eventually she bent down to pick up the purse. Thankfully she looked a bit closer before actually picking up the purse....

Since she could tell it was a black snake!:scared1::idea:

My dad put it outside. :rotfl2::lmao:

If it had been poisonous he would have killed it. My family grew up in FLA when FLA was a very rural state. One of the things they did for fun was collect snakes. :lmao: My father's side of the family lived in St Cloud when the town was in the middle of no where. They worked on ranches, went swimming, fishing, hunting camping, and collecting snakes. :rotfl:

Gots to do something for fun before TV and Disney.

Dan
