Snake-away

I agree with above who states that it works but stinks.
It only works for a few weeks (even though the box says two months)
You can try moth balls. Smells the same but they aren't as potent.

I like the snakes, for the most part. They eat the rodents. We live near a tortoise perserve, which "houses" many rodents. And now due to they are building right next to the perserve and lack of water, they are coming out.

A little OT but...

What does this say about Delaware when the only two people who respond (about the product) are from that state?! I used to think I was the only person in DE who had this problem!

I have never seen snake-away. Never even thought about buying a product to kill snakes. We always just run em over with the mower or use a gardening tool. That is what everyone out here does.. We have a ton of snakes out here though. We have started knotching the lawn mower. The count is eleven with the mower and like twenty with the gardening hoe...

We use snake away. And it does stink. And I like rodent better than snakes.

I've heard about this stuff. What snakes does it keep away? The only two I worry about here are the cotton mouths and the rattlesnakes. Do they work on these?

I myself use my handy dandy paintball gun and blast those puppies right in half! The last one I shot clean through and both sides kept on moving :faint: :scared: :crazy2:

I run like the devil is behind me when I see a snake. So snake away wouldnt help me but I also never heard of it.

Hey Mickeycrazed,
I have lived in Delaware my entire live. I never saw a snake in my yard until we moved to Hockessin. Last summer was horrible, I killed about 15 during the summer months.
This year I started to remove some bushes and other spots the snakes liked to hide. Only had two so far this year.

Ok - pls tell me you don't have snakes in Shoreview! We are in WBL and we have a very tree-y backyard and I have finally convinced myself there are no snakes in the cities...

officer tigger,

Even though you find so many on your property, I hope they stay out of your home!

We live near the Christina river, and unfortuately over the last few years we have not only had an increase on our property, but we have had 3 come in our house! :scared1:
I'm just about ready to move.... FAR, FAR AWAY!

P.S. We are also DVC members since 1999. BWV and VWL
