snail mail confirmation?

We're booked for POR in 4 weeks and have not received any type of confirmation letter. I've used DVC the last 3 times, and can't remember what happened when we stayed at the Poly. Should I have received something by now, like we did with DVC? And if so, should I contact POR or Disney?

I would call immediately to reconfirm your ressie and ask that they send you the confirmation letter. It should normally come in 1-2 weeks. I have had times where I did not get one and had to call to get it re-sent.

You can also go the www.disneyworld.com and go the the "my disney vacation" area on the tickets and reservations page. You log in, enter your confirmation number and the phone number from the ressie, and you can check it that way.

I made my reservation for 1/21 back in late Oct. The deposit was due 11/5/04. No confirmation came so I had to call and get an extension and the mailing information to send in my deposit. 11/21/04 I requested a confirmation again. Same on 12/6/04.

Guess what? Still no confirmation. But I have received marketing information specifically naming the resort that we're staying at and our family name.

Guess I better get on the horn to Disney. I'd hate to get there and have someone say "Reservation? What reservation?"

I modified my reservation last Wednesday and I got my new confirmation in the mail today When my friends went to WDW in July they stayed at the Grovesnor in DTD area and the hotel could not find thier reservation when they checked in! It was a nightmare and after some explaining and speaking to a manger they finally got thier room.
