Has anyone ever used the snack coupons for breakfast? If so, any suggestions?
What time do the parks open? :thanks:

We just got back yesterday and we didn't do this, but I really wish I had! We paid out of pocket for breakfast two days, ate Pop Tarts in the room one day, and had breakfast at Chef Mickey's on the last day. We had 6 snack credits left on the last day, and ended up buying random stuff and bringing home three Mickey Rice Krispie Treats. I am in my mid twenties and personally would have chose the rice krispie treat for my breakfast, but I am sure there are better options out there. For us, between all the other food we ate and the snacks we had in our room, our snack options just did not get used much. We did buy popcorn and a drink one day, but otherwise we just used them for drinks or to bring stuff home.

With the new flexibility of the snack option (most food items under $4), you'll find many snacks that can satisfy a quick breakfast need. Pastries, cereals, fruit and many other choices are now available. Look for the dining plan snack symbol on the menu boards. If you don't see a symbol and something is under $4, ask the CM. Chances are you may still be able to get it as a snack.

When we had the dining plan last year we used quite a few of our snack credits for breakfast. I had brought along a kettle (left it at Pop as we buy a new one every year) and made instant oatmeal. To go along with the oatmeal I used the snack credits for the fresh fruit bowls (mostly watermelon!!) that they had in the food court. They were great!! :thumbsup2

Plan on the same thing this Sept. also!!

How about the boxes of donuts for 1 sc also half gallon of milk Sound like breakfast. I also saw bagels and english muffins listed at DTD on the snack thread. I plan on bringing cereal from home too. I think we'll use sc for sundaes, icecream etc in the parks. Plan on drinking water between meals and using refillable mugs to start out the day.

are snack credits good for 1/2 gal milk? I'll pack my raisin bran and DSs cereal in that case instead of the little cereal boxes - thanks

did this often at pop!!! Bowls of fruit, bagels, we split three snacks and did well!!!
