Ok for the pros out there .....if you are not on the dining plan, how do you keep your kiddies from costing you a fortune with the snacks? :)

Bring a bag of goldfish, apple slices, granola bars, raisins, clementines, dry cereal with you. My girls 13 and 15 have been to Disney over twenty times and we never feel hassled about snacks (or souvneirs for that matter.) Of course my husband stops for a Mickey bar each and every day we're there!

You could make a bunch of rice krispie Mickey heads...even dip them in choco to bring with.

We were just there, and we ON the dinning plan, and had 12 snack credits left on the last day! We decided to buy the rice krispie mickey heads for DDs class. Anyway, to answer your question, just bring some stuff that you don't need to keep cool, like breakfast bars, fruits, ect. Have a great trip!

if they are old enough to understand the concept. Let them choose how they want to spend their snack money. The same thing with souvenier money. Much fewer hassles.

Bring a few bags of microwave popcorn, if you feel like it buy one of the collectable popcorn buckets and then use the microwave popcorn to refill. Food Courts at the values have microwaves.

Bring some snacks from home-fruit snacks, licorice, granola/cereal bars, nuts, fruit, etc.

How old are the kids? You can bring some snacks in to the parks with you. If you will be driving down, stop at a grocery store and buy some snackable items you can keep in your room. You might want to bring or buy some large plastic zip top bags for the hotel room. Once we left an open box of entenmanns donuts out on our hotel room table (all stars) and when we got back, there were some tiny bugs having a picnic there  We are DVC members and usually stay at one of the DVC resorts (with a kitchen & fridge) so we've never had that problem before, LOL.

If you're flying in and won't have a rental car, you can pack snacks in your checked bags, or you can have wegoshop or garden grocer deliver to your room. I personally recommend wegoshop. Marge was great.

hth!

I always pack snacks in my luggage. Things I bring are:
fruit snacks
pretzels with cheese dip packs
cracker and cookie packs
microwave popcorn (all food courts have microwaves)
trail mix (be careful in summer as the chocolate and candies in this will melt)
raisins

If we have a car, we will stop at Target or Walmart for bottled water and other snacks. My kids don't chow down at meals, so they need snacks to bring along or I would go broke on Disney prices.
