Great thread. I'm coming down from Seattle for a solo trip next week. Essentially I'm doing a day of work meetings then taking 3 days off to play in the parks.
I love DL, I've been 5 times starting when I was 8 years old (now 35), so
Disneyland Park is not new to me, but California Adventure 2.0 is. I'm also looking forward to the Halloween decor, etc. While I plan to hit CA pretty thoroughly and hope to do all of Disneyland Park, I'll be back with the rest of my family in November, so my focus now is on really taking some leisurely time to stop and smell the roses, particularly in Disneyland Park. I love the history of the park, the many little secrets, and I love to people watch. This will be my first solo trip so I figure it's the perfect opportunity to take the parks at my own pace. If I miss a ride or even a land, I'll be back in November with the rest of my family.
That is a long set-up for two questions:
1) Where is your favorite spot to sit back and people watch in either park (but probably more so in Disneyland Park), and
2) For you regulars who may take DL at a more leisurely pace and aren't so concerned with running from attraction to attraction, what are your favorite things to do? Any nooks or crannies or side attractions/shows that I should particularly consider?
I'm excited to go to DL and NOT worry constantly about how long the lines are. I think this leisurely thing is gonna be fun.
