Snacks on Illumination and Wishes Cruises?

I have booked both an illuminations cruise and a Wishes cruise
Both of the cruises come with snacks and soda. I am wondering if anybody knows exactly what snacks are served?

When I booked, in the excitement of getting both cruises on the nights that we wanted I completely forgot to add the peanut and tree nut allergy to the reservation as I would not want any served on board.

I will call and add it to the reservation when we get to the USA as we will be there about two weeks before the first cruise and three weeks before the second cruise but that is still months away. Just saves a long distance call from Australia calling when we get there.

I just thought I would ask others (those with PA or TNA or no allergies) who have done the cruise if they know what the snacks were.

Thanks :goodvibes

We did the Illuminations Cruise last year. We were given a selection of canned soda or bottled water. The snack as I recall was an assortment of potatoe chips including bags of pretzels. We had a very enjoyable evening and we would do it again. The one thing to be aware of is if it is windy and you have issues with smoke let your captain know. This wasn't an issue for us but I understand it can be. We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the unique view of the fireworks.

Thank you.

I will call closer to the time and add the allergies to the reservations, but it's a relief that even if I didn't there wouldn't be any peanuts or nuts served.

Last spring we splurged and surprised some of the family with a Illuminations Cruise.

We thought it would be canceled because of bad weather but the weather cleared about an hour before boarding time. :thumbsup2 WDW does not cancel the fireworks unless absolutely required and they do so at the very last minutes. Our problem was the wind was so strong they had shut down the boats moving people around EPOCT and between ECPOT, the resorts and DHS. :scared1:

Back to your question. The snacks were soda and water for drinks. Bagged chips, pretzels, etc for the snacks.

When the front moved through it got cold fast. We needed some warm jackets but did not have them so keep that in mind.

The smoke can be an issue but it depends on the location of your boat and direction of the wind.

The cruise was well worth it for us. We surprised my mother, our kids and a nephew we took to WDW with the cruise. They did NOT know what it was about before hand. Mom was guessing but I was not saying. :rotfl: She figured it out but the kids did not until the show started!:rotfl2::lmao:

Mom should ride a scooter because of bad knees but she refuses. We would go to WDW all of the time with my aunt but auntee would always wanted to exit the park before the fireworks ended so she could beat the crowd. Auntee is a bit spastic that way. :)

Doing the cruise was a great way for my mom and the kids to see the fireworks without walking too much AND being able to FINALLY see the end of the show. :lmao:

I got mom good with the cruise. :)

She tried to find out how much it cost but I would not tell. :lmao: She has gotten cheap in her old age at least until she hits a yard sale, flea market or craft store. :rotfl2: She really enjoyed that cruise. So did the kids and our nephew. It is likely the only trip the nephew will be able to take to WDW and it cost us a fortune in DVC points that will take a few years to recover but it was worth it for everyone.

Enjoy the cruise!

Later,
Dan

We did the Illuminations cruise Oct 2008 and my DD has tree nut allergies. No nuts of any kind were served. I remember they did have plain Lays potato chips which are safe for peanut/tree nut allergies so that's what she had.
