Do the parks allow you to take your own snacks in? The snack plan for the DDP only allows a snack OR a drink! :rolleyes2Can I bring my own stuff for the kids?:confused3

You can put a couple of small items in your backpack for example crackers, granola bars and water bottles just not a huge bag full of food. You can't bring a cooler either.

Many CMs on the DIS have said that's fine and not against Disney policy. Also, the security guards could care aless when they look through your stuff.

I've brought bottled water into the parks, as well as pre-packaged fruit snacks and fruit and grain bars.

In our back pack we took fruit snacks. m&m minis, water, etc.

We were so full from the dining plan that we had to use up 9 snack credits at the end of our week. We took home mickey crispy bars. At night at POFQ DD was able to get a scoop of ice cream as a snack. Because we shared we had breakfast, lunch and a ts dinner each day. DD loved the choc covered mickey ice cream bars!!!!!!

We have always taken water and small snacks into the park. I carry a backpack with fruit rollups, rasins and such. Always go through the security check and no one says anything.

We took snacks and water/gatoraid into the parks every day. I had a small shoulder pop cooler that kept all our water and stuff cold, and they just peeked into it and said have a great day. No problems for us!

We've taken PP&J sandwiches, along with yogurt and other snack-type food as well as juice boxes and water. We've never had a problem and have them in a little insulated lunch bag. We've done this a number of times. I don't think that the security people care that we are bringing food in.

We've brought a cooler in many times...we carry it in the bottom of the stroller (although our last 2 trips we haven't brought a stroller anymore).

Security looks in it but no CM has ever told us we couldn't have the cooler...it's the small kind that holds a 6 pack of soda.

On our last trip, we would pack a small lunchbox sized cooler with snacks and food for DD (who has dietary restrictions) with no problems. We would also bring several bottles of bottled water (thank you Staples!) to the parks each day with no problems.

Thank you guys!! This helps alot with my planning. I think before our trip, I'm going to BJ's and stocking up on water, fruit snacks and such!! I think with our DDP snacks, I'll just use that to buy the kids the mickey ice creams.

We ALWAYS bring a bag full of sodas, water and snacks!!! We even bring a soft sided cooler completely full with ice, our beverages and fruit for the day. You can take ANYTHING you want into the parks...anything except GLASS containers! The ONLY glass containers you can take in, is babyfood jars.
