Snacks I shouldn't miss out on??

loving this thread! I plan on using my snacks for breakfast and saving my QS lunch desserts for snacks ;) What I would give for a "QS/Snack" only food porn thread!! Looking through the reg food porn thread has toooo many TS pics that just makes me want to switch to that dinning plan :rotfl:

I've been working my way around some snacks. If you've never had a mickey ice cream bar, get one. Otherwise....

1. Dole whip float
2. Chocolate peanut butter cupcake from starring rolls HS (I imagine any cupcake is great, this is the only one I've tried. Ivenever had a cupcake this big)
3. Just about anything from a bakery (love the one in France)
School bread from norway...WOW (it's like a coconut doughnut)
4. Chips from the UK

I still have much more to try :)

Last trip I had an apple turnover/dumpling with vanilla ice cream at POP food court. Warm and delicious.:cloud9:

Yes, Dole Whips are great! Another must have treat is the Mickey Mouse Ice Cream bars! They are so good! Another thing I really like are the Mickey Mouse Rice Crispy Treats that have a chocolate coating on the top! The fudge looks really good at the candy store on Main Street at MK but I've never had it.

At the bakery on main street there are 2 that you absolutely need to get.

1) cinnamon roll for breakfast. They are enormous...big enough for 2 easily and 3 or 4 if you are light breakfast eaters. Its a great way to get a breakfast with your snack and if you take a bottle water or buy a juice/milk its breakfast on the cheap quick, good, and easy

2)stop back here any afternoon and get an ice cream sandwich...not a little mickey head sandwich...2 huge homemade chocolate chip cookies the size of small snack plates with a couple giant scoops of vanilla ice cream. This is so big I am surprised it is a snack and very good. Easy for 2 or more to share. We shared it between 4 people and had plenty

OMG yes, the ice cream sandwich with the huge chocolate chip cookies....AMAZING!!!!!!!

Something I tried last time was the ice cream cookie sandwich at the Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square in MK-I don't think it's on the DDP-but, it was worth $4.

Something I haven't tried yet that I am looking forward on this trip-the carrot cake cookie sandwich thing at The Writer's Stop (behind Sci-Fi). DH is a carrot cake nut.

Anything from any of the bakeries is worth a try and the Karamel Kitchen in Germany is worth just walking into-it's almost too hard to make a decision.

MMM....snacks....one of the reasons why I LOVE the DDP! It lets me try new things I normally wouldn't, b/c what the hey-I've got the credits.

My absolute favorite thing that I ate on my last trip was the coconut paleta (popsicle) from the Mexican counter service. After all the heavy desserts and food I ate that trip, it was so refreshing! It had huge chunks of fresh juicy coconut in it. To die for. I bet the other flavors are good too. They're not like your typical american corn syrup popsicle at all.

And second, good luck with getting the ice-cream-cookie-sandwich. People continue to report getting these for a snack credit at Main Street Bakery...they must be getting some great pixie dust, because we've heard "no" several times. >>>This is strange, I was at disney the last week of August and I used a snack credit for the ice cream sandwich. I guess it depends on who is working? Weird. They should be consistent with this thou! But I have to say, OMG what an amazing treat this is! Its INCREDIBLE!! I never had anything like it. And its HUUUUUGE! I LOVE icecream a lot, but even I could only eat half of this. Snack credit or not, its worth the $ even if you pay OOP!!

I've tried the butterfinger cupcake from starring rolls in HS. It was good I suppose, but VERY rich too. It was massive. You cannot eat this alone, share if you can!

Lastly, the apple blossom pie thingy with ice cream at the POP food court is OUTSTANDING!!!

I must mention the Napoleans in France's bakery. Oh la la.

And I really enjoyed a macadamia nut cluster I got in the MK confectionery. Ooey gooey goodness!

The Cloudberry Horn from Kringla in Norway!:lovestruc
I agree with the previous posters om the cinnamon pecans, jalapeño cheese pretzel, anything caramel from Germany, and I also got the best navel orange ever in AK from the fruit market when we got our pretzel. :goodvibes

-Red velvet cheesecake cupcake from Starring Rolls. I actually got this as my dessert with a QS meal but I know it counts as a snack credit. This is TO DIE FOR. One of the most delicious things I've ever eaten in my life.

-Carrot cake cookie from Writer's Stop. Worth all the hype.

-Dole whip/pineapple spear- Much lauded and deservedly so. My mother dreaaaaams about these things. I also like the pineapple too. It's simple but so tasty.

-Jalapeno cheese pretzel- I got mine from the American pavilion at Epcot. At first I was sort of unimpressed and then caught that slow burn from the spiciness of the cheese. Such a delicious flavor!

-Chocolate croissants from Pop Century- Tried one at the French bakery and liked it, but I thought the one from Pop was even tastier.

-Kaki Gori from stand in Japan- Not sure if these count as a snack credit anymore but I got the rainbow one and happily slurped away. It's like the best snow cone ever.

-Anything at Sunshine Seasons- I actually had a makeshift breakfast here using 2 snack credits (they have lots of delicious pastries and fruit) and then ate a fantastic lunch just a few hours later. I know the desserts can be purchased with credits so I'd HIGHLY recommend the strawberry shortcake.
