Can anyone who has stayed at Pop lately relay what is available as snack items on the DDP? We will be there in Sept with Free Dining. I am hoping to grab something at Everything Pop that somehow resembles breakfast, that we can eat while waiting for the bus or on the bus. I guess that brings me to a separate question: Are you allowed to eat on the bus? I am talking something like a bagel or donut, not scrambled eggs! ;)

THANKS!!!

Can't help you with the Pop question BUT yes you can eat on the bus. We would do this every morning. Leave our room with a toasted bagle and cream cheese or somehthing like that and a coffee for us and milk or OJ for the kids. We brought it on the bus every moring and were never turned away or told not to eat on the bus. Now we also threw out everything we brought on as well as soon as we got off the bus.

I am interested in hearing the answers for the AM Pop stuff too as my parents are heading to WDW on the dining plan the end of Sept. I am trying to help them plan their days and meals. Having never used the plan I am newer to it.

We stayed at POP over Easter and usually took a bagel and a drink (always something with a lid) on the bus and nothing was said.

At the time only a few things were counted for a snack, but I read that they are changing it to any food item under a certain dollar amount.

I have seen many people eating and drinking on the buses over the years, but the one time I brought on a diet coke, with a cover, the driver kept making an announcement that there was no drinking or eating allowed on the bus. Of course at that point I was stuck on the bus with the drink, so there wasn't much I could do. I just kept it covered and didnt drink it.

Maybe it depends on the driver. :confused3

Technically, you're not supposed to eat or drink on the bus, but a lot of people do. That rule is there mostly to keep the bus free of spills.

And you can use snack credits to get things like donuts and bagels at POP now. We were even able to get a big box of Entemann's donuts for a snack credit.

We got a fruit cup every morning for my Dd4 as a snack credit. They had a few different kinds of fruit and were pretty generous portions.

On the donuts-
There was a variety pack with 8 in it. Also a box of mini donut(powdered sugar, I think) and donut holes.

Thanks New Chic sounds like they will make a great quick breakfast on the run.

Donuts for breakfast?!

Ew!

Maybe donuts are different in America than they are in Australia... Or maybe it's just Disney and people get a little bit excited.

Looking at the AllEars menu, there are lots of other yummy breakfast foods at Pop - apple turnovers, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, crossiants, bagels, waffles... And they're just the things you could carry with you!

Can't wait! I'm staying at Pop in September too. I'll be the one who's not eating donuts for breakfast. ;)

I am looking forward to getting a box of donuts for my son to enjoy because he has food allergies and cannot usually eat pastries. The Entennman's (boxed donutss) are safe for him and have an ingredient list. I agree that this isn't the most delicious or healthy breakfast, but coincidentally, he is somewhat underweight and his MD is encouraging us to give him high calorie foods to help him bulk up (He is just now 53 pounds...an increase!...and he is 11 1/2 years old).

Am subscribing... we are also going at the end of September to take advantage of the free DDP, this will be the first time we are using it and would love to know what else people have gotten for their snack credits at POP.
Great thread, thanks! :wizard:

I wasn't on the DDP but was at POP last week and noticed a ton of items marked as Snack Credits in the Food Court and Grab And Go area. Basically, everything $4.00 and under can be purchased for a snack credit. Lots of fruit cups, muffins, rolls, croissants, crumb cakes . . .
Unless I missed them, the one breakfast item I wished they had was a quick bagel or biscuit sandwich with protein. As yummy as the baked goods were, I really craved a biscut and sausage or ham and cheese croissant.

Thanks to OP for starting this thread. Can't wait until our trip!

Could someone tell me what Entennman donuts are like? I don't think they're sold in Canada. Is it something worth trying?

For boxed donuts, they are high quality, but they aren't like a Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. If you get a chance the chocolate frosted cake (either golden or chocolate cake inside) is very, very good and always goes very quickly around here (magically disappears into my stomach!!)

I LOVED the chocolate crossiants there at POP. We stayed 7 days and 5 of the days I had the crossiants! :goodvibes Would have done all seven but we had breakfast ressies 2 days.

Chocolate croissants! My Very Fav!! That seals the upcoming Sept trip to POP!!!

Thanks for the replies! It looks like we will be able to use our snack credits for a quick breakfast on the the go! :teeth:

:rose: Donute are an American breakfast food. Maybe I,ve been in this country longer than our Aussie pal, but I'm sure there are australian foods that Americans would find strange. Donuts taste pretty good to me anytime of the dayand the kids LOVE them :dance3:
