Remember our deal, if you eat the candy I'll try the fried pickle. I found out where I can get one here in the deep south of Louisiana and if you try that candy bar I'll get one of those fried pickles and at least try it.DH said he'll eat the rest if I don't like it.

Wow! I'm surprised you can grow blueberries so far south. I looked into it, and kept being told it was too hot here. If you don't mind, are you in the northern or southern part of the state? I LOVE blueberries!

Oh you are in Clermont FL, my DD lived there for a year while she and her DH worked in WDW!!! I know right where you are!!!

I am in Central Louisiana north of Alexandria, that's what you'll see if you look at the map, and it is hot and humid, probably worse than there. We have no problem growing them here and they just flourish, we get tons of them to a point where I let the birds and squirrels finally get them. I invite friends to come pick what they want, I pick some and flash freeze them and the rest I feed the wildlife with. We also have Mayhaw which I don't care for and persimmon and figs and pears in our yard. The only thing I bother with are the blueberries.

Ummmmmm...I love blueberries. They are even better when you pick them from your bushes!! We had blackberry bushes galore on our land. They rippened right as the tractors were out there to start clearing. I was speed eating them!!

go speed eater, go speed eater!!! You should have made them wait until you picked enough to flash freeze for later!!!!

I love to walk out there, pick a handful, bring them in, rinse them and throw them in a bowl of cereal. Can't get any fresher than that!

Do you know where Sara's Place is?That's the apt complex my DD & DSIL lived in for the year they were there working in WDW? My DS lived with them for a while and worked in Downtown Disney and my DSIL's brother lived with them for a bit too and worked where the race cars are in Disney.

DH is making crap cakes with a recipe we found on the internet. canned crab meat, stove top stuffing, eggs and a little of that crab boil seasoning. So I am staying out of the kitchen and letting him make dinner.

Hmm, maybe I'll walk down get a handful or two of blueberries and make blueberry muffins for dessert. That sounds good.

hmmm...snacking while I Dis...I have someone that always makes wants me to eat water ice yet I never have any in my house. Well that trend stopped today! I bought some at the store and I'm eating Rita's as I Dis Other things I like to eat are Nilla Wafers and Oatmeal Teddy Grahams (can you tell I live with a toddler ) I also love cheese popcorn but it makes the keyboard a little messy Last night I had Friday's Spinach and Artichoke dip while DISing, hmmm, I wonder who gave me that idea

Yes, it's about ten miles south of me. I'm in the northern part of Clermont, actually within the city limits--but not the downtown area.

It isn't just one...it's one of those little paper french fry bowls full. They are the sliced dill pickle chips for hamburgers!!

It isn't just one...it's one of those little paper french fry bowls full. They are the sliced dill pickle chips for hamburgers!!

I guess I'll find that out when I get there, lol. I just assumed it was a big pickle, breaded and deep fried on a stick like a corn dog. Never having seen or eaten one I didn't know, lol.

I don't know a lot about growing them as they were here on our property when we bought this place but we do absolutely nothing, other than mow around them and I weed around them because this darn vine keeps creeping up them and trying to strangle them out, and they thrive and give off sooo many blueberries.The best part is you can pick today and tomorrow there are just as many ripe ones waiting to be picked. The season lasts a couple weeks.
Good Luck!!! Of course we won't know until next year if they made it or not. I think you'll do fine though.

I'm not a pickle eater and I'm not a corn dog eater so the thought of a big ole fried pickle was making me nauseaus, lol. I'll try the fried pickle chips though only because I promised, Can't believe I'm doing this!
