Going on Girls' (no kids or husbands) trip in September. We've heard of drinking around the world but we don't drink, so we want to snack around the world. Here's what we were thinking:
Mexico- Churros
Norway- School Bread
China- Ginger Ice Creme
Germany- Apple Strudel
Italy- Cannoli
America- Funnel Cake
Japan- Kaki Gori
Morocco-Baklava (can you get this as a snack?)
France- Crepes
United Kingdom- Shortbread (do we have any other choice?):confused3
Canada- (???????) :sad1: Beaver tails :sad1:

Even getting one at each place and splitting it four ways it may take us more than one day to complete snacking around the world. :dumbo: What would be your choices? Have you done (tried) this? Will you? Can we use snack credits for all these?

What a cute idea! I like that! :hippie:

What I would add is that I really like the pretzels both in Norway and Germany! And at France, they not only have crepes, they have a whole line full of yummy desserts! But when in France, we always get their ice cream, its to die for!

Can't help you with the snack credit question - we never use the Disney Dining plan.

Wow ... so many sweets! I'd have sugar dizzy spins personally.

DH & I always snack around the world. Here's what we usually get: (My order may be off)

Split a nachos in Mexico
Share a schoolbread in Norway
Share an egg roll in China OR share some teriyakki rice in Japan
Share a pretzel in Germany OR share a brat
We usually skip snacking in Italy
Share a lamb sandwich in Morocco
We usually skip snacking in France (we're stuffed by now)
Share an order of chips (fries) in England
The only "snacking" we do in Canada is on Moosehead ;)

great snack ideas!

only change i'd make would be:

germany: black forest cake :goodvibes

That's too much sweets for me. I would mix in a couple of nonsweet choices:
Mexico- Churros or chips & salsa (we would probably skip this since we get much better Mexican at home)
Norway- School Bread or waffle or sweet pretzel or rice cream, or open face sandwich
China- egg rolls (probably skip also)
Germany- pretzel, bratwurst or german chocolate cookie
Italy- Tiramisu or Italian Ice
America- Funnel Cake
Japan- Japanese Curry
Morocco-Baklava or veggie shwarma platter
France- quiche
United Kingdom- snack size fish & chips
Canada- maple sugar candy

Don't know about snack credits since we don't do DDP.

Are you using your Dining Snacks? If not, sounds like a plan to me. Sometimes we took our deserts back to our room and had them for breakfast. Hey-your on vacation.

Just be careful with your dining snacks. It Italy she made me use a counter service credit, instead of 2 snack credits.

We've heard of drinking around the world but we don't drink, so we want to snack around the world. Can we use snack credits for all these?

To check snack credits maybe check Epcot list on the "Confirmed snack credits on DDP" thread?
Sounds like fun - maybe we will do this with our 14yr old in Sept.

We just did this last week on our trip. This was over 2 days.

Mexico - combo platter
Norway - waffle (this was amazing and made fresh on the spot!!!)
China - egg rolls
Germany - Apple Streudel (we took this back to the hotel for later)
Italy - skipped (was going to be tiramisu but we were full)
USA - chicken fingers
Japan - shaved ice
Morocco - baklava
France - Peach tart
UK - snack fish and chips
Canada - :( Why did they take out the Beavertails??

We wanted a combo of food and sweet stuff and this worked very well. We split it 2 ways one day and 3 ways the second day since my friend was with it. It was plenty of food for us although we're not big eaters and had shared meals for every other meal of the trip.

The waffle in Norway was the best thing. Most other snacks were in the case but this is made in front of you and was nice and warm with the right amount of crisp.

We weren't on the DDP so it was all out of pocket and didn't cost anymore than 2 meals would have.
