snack must haves...

Road 2...

We might run into each other in line for snacks!

I'll be there May 8-12~

We're there from 10th-14th! I'll be the one jogging in place in the lines [with sticky fingers and chocolate around my mouth]. :cool1:

Thanks for the soft serves info darksyde! Didn't know that one...putting that one on my list of "snacks to eat".

Free refills??? I never ate there, but this may change!

unless it's changed and someone can tell me otherwise... :confused3

we don't go nearly as often as we used to... :(

I know this isn't "park snacks" but I always bring a couple of individual sized bags of nuts in my purse or fanny pack. They are healthy, a good source of protein for energy and fill me up between meals. They keep me from eating too much of the unhealthy snacks. Don't get me wrong, I still eat the sugary snacks, but just not as much as I would otherwise!

:rotfl: Alison, you are too perfect for me!!! Cotton candy here I come! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

We just bought popcorn in a 40th anniversary Pirate bucket...comes with a lid attached to the handle and holds much more than the regular sized popcorn box. It was about $5.50 where the regular sized box was $3.50 or so. Whenever there is a good looking bucket, we get popcorn! Our other popcorn bucket is the Sorcerer Mickey...which is the container that is now used for the birthday buckets!

The only thing I don't like about this popcorn bucket is that it isn't refillable. I think you should be able to get it refilled for $3.50

I can not believe no one has says Catch A Flave in DCA. They have soft serve ice creme vanilla, and then they have a band of flavoring that goes through the vanialla, there are like 10 flavors, and it is my favorite thing to get at DLR. OMG it is the best soft serve I have ever had!

 Where abouts in Catch a Flav in DCA? I wanna get me one of those. I didnt know about it until you mentioned it. That would be sweetly awesome! Thanks for the recommendation

The soft serv is very yummy. I almost forgot about it! I think that Catch a Flav is on the "boardwalk" as you are walking to Cali Screamin' on the side where they do the count down. Where the big old billboards are with the little girl with the puppy pulling on her pants. It is just a walk up window.

My fave is the chocolate and toffee covered pretzels at the candy store back by Winnie the Pooh ride. YUMMY!!!

Andrea

Churros? i love them!

Where exactly are they located in the park?

In DL, we always find them on the Hub near the Castle. They are also near Small World.

In DCA: in the Sunshine Plaza and between Grizzly Run and the Golden Dreams area.

Yum, love this thread!
What all do they sell at this amazing sounding store by Winnie the Pooh? Is it all candy?

Yum...I'm going to gain 10 pounds in 4 days!!!!

Just think of the Winnie The Pooh store as a lil piece of heaven at Disneyland. I love love love love that store. The chocolate dipped strawberries are yummy!!!

Ok, what is the beignet (sp) and what is the mint julep??????

Mmmm, you have to try a beignet. It's like a fried doughnut with no hole. :goodvibes And they put LOTS of powdered sugar on top. Just be sure to not inhale when you bite it. :rotfl2:

A mint julep is a drink made famous by the Kentuky Derby. It's kinda labeled a "rich people drink" because the rich people at the derby would order them. Some people say it's like drinking mouth wash with sugar. I'm not sure I want to try one.

The Disney Mint Julep is made with limeade and creme de menth or something like that. I don't think it's like drinking mouth wash with sugar at all. They are really really yummy IMO, and I crave them all the time.

Sounds like something my DH would like. He's a Mojito fan.

I'll pretty much be trying everything after about 5pm. My family says that's my "feeding time".

SNACKS...I love snacks...Thank you for this thread!

Chocolate covered strawberries are my all-time favorite!!

Couple of my favorite sweets are the Tigger Tails (Caramel squares on a stick dipped in chocolate), the Rocky Road Chunks and the Dole Whip.

From the not so sweet category, the Corn Dog from the Main Street Cart, the Bratwurst Sandwich from the little stand next to the Princess Faire and the Potato Cheese Soup with all the fixin's, perfect for a rainy day like today.

Sounds simple, but the oatmeal raisin cookie from the bakery on main street. That and a cup of coffee late at night - ah! The frozen lemonades are also great on a hot day - like a slurpee, but better.
