Snack credits on DDP

I purchased the DDP for our upcoming trip in September. I heard that you know can get a snack instead of a beverage. Does it have to be at the restaurant that you are at or do they add it to your snack credit?

The substitution can only be done when you're getting your meal. One restaurant, one transaction.

Effectively a QS meal is now an entree (or combo) and two snacks. But all parts of the QS credit must be redeemed in one transaction.
Not all QS places have that many snacks on the menu that aren't dessert. But some options are soup at BOG or onion rings at Flame Tree.
It also means you aren't limited to soda, if there is a mandarin lemonade or a pink lemonade slushy you can have that as the drink as long as it has the purple DDP logo.
