I think I read somewhere that your snack credits can be used for items under $5. If this is true...can you get a kids meal using a snack credit at a counter service restaurant? I noticed that most of the kids meals are under $5. Just curious.
It's under $4 for the snack credits. You can use it for side items at CS, but not a child's meal. You need to watch for the purple ddp symbol on the menu. Sometimes there are things that are excluded.
There are a few specific items that are considered legitimate snacks under the DDP (see the FAQ ‘sticky’ at the top of this message board). In addition, about a year ago, Disney expanded the definition of snack to include many individual items with a cost of under $4. This specifically EXcludes food that could be considered a meal, such as a slice of pizza, a hot dog, a turkey leg (as if those were under the price limit). It also, by simple definition, excludes full meals, child or otherwise.
n2mm is right - just look for the purple 'snack' symbol.
Definitely check out the confirmed snack options on the Sticky at the top of the DDP threads. Cut and paste, and print them out so that you can take them with you so you know what some of your options are. Or some say they put them into their PDAs.
Loved using snack credits at Goofy's Candy shop in DTD for the make your own pretzel rods & oreos. It's an amazing value and alot of fun to design each one!
