Some of the kid's meals offer a smores dessert. I saw a pic and that baby looks pretty substantial. To summarize for those not in on our saga, DD has a lovely orthodontic appliance called a palate expander with a crib. She can't eat anything too crunchy or it will bend/break the wires that run across the roof of her mouth. I assumed the smores were made with regular graham crackers, and those would be fine, so long as she sort of sucked on them rather than chewed them.

But as I said, that pic made the cracker part look pretty thick. For those of you who ordered it (or your kids ordered it) could it be crushed up into bits so that she could eat it? She would LOVE this dessert and I'd hate to order it and then have to tell her she couldn't eat it after all. Advance knowledge would be sooooo helpful.:confused3

I have had the smores dessert at PTC and it is a regular graham cracker with marshmellows toasted on top and chocolate drizzled over them. You can cut them up just like any other graham cracker. Even if it was too tough for her she could still eat the marshmellows and chocolate so I don't think she would feel too bad about it. It is really rich and I have always shared it because for me it was too much for one person. I would mention the problem to the waitress and maybe the chef could do somthing to make the graham a bit soggy for her by soaking it first in something sweet or something like that.

DD had an expander and didn't do marshmallows as they were too sticky and got caught up in the expander at the roof of her mouth. We did mostly ice cream and sundaes when at WDW with the expander.

Hmmm......Where is that first pic from? The WCC?

It looks like the smores dessert differs from restaurant to restaurant. Oh well, I'll just explain and have them do the best they can. Crud, that palate expander is cramping her style. :lmao: I had forgotten about the stickiness of the marshmallows.....I had hoped they'd be super-melted, and thus not an issue. Life is hard with metal in your mouth.:scared:

Thanks for all the info.

I remember eating my sons, it was so yummy. But it isn't actually a graham cracker. It is a really thick, hard chocolate cookie. Very tasty, but might not be so good for your dd.
The chocolate mousse however, it also so cute, and very yummy, and soft!

Heres a pic I found:

Also--the smores dessert is not the same as the one at Prime Time.

The have them at LeCellier and Primt Time Cafe. They are made 2 totally different ways. Le Cellier's may be harder to eat but I would think the marshmellows may be too sticky. I remember having one of those contraptions.
