smoking

My husband smokes but never in the house so we booked our room at CBR for non-smoking. I was wondering just how far away from the building would he have to go to be able to smoke without bothering anyone else in the area. He said he doesn't mind going outside but doesn't want to have to walk a long ways to smoke. Also if we would request a smoking building would all the rooms then be ones that were smoked in? Even though he is a smoker he can't stand the smell of smoke in a room or a restaraunt, who know maybe I can get him to quit before we leave! Thanks for the info.

My husband smokes cigars but doesn't smoke indoors. When we stayed at a moderate-Riverside and French Quarter, he usually would find a bench or smoke a cigar by the pool if we were there. Not sure about CBR but I know at the other resorts, there were always benches, etc. spread around. Doesn't CBR have hammocks and such? It seems like there would be many places to smoke as long as it's outside.

I smoke and we were in a NS room in POR last October.
I just smoked outside. The mousekeeper even offerd me a ash tray to sit outside. And I made sure i wasnt bothering anyone around me. So the farthest i had to go away from the room was our balcony...Just ask for an ash tray and leave it outside the door and u will be fine....
