Can someone clarify what the rules are on smoking in France/DLP?

I can't stand being around smoke and want to make sure my room isn't stinking of it? Also are the restuarants non-smoking?

From the 1st April the parks become non-smoking with designated areas for smokers.
Not sure about the restaurants, but would have thought the new rules would also include the 'village'.

The restaurants we went to in disney village were non smoking which were cafe mickey, billiy bobs, annettes and the rainforest so i would guess the rest would be non smoking too and im pretty sure that the bars in the hotels were too.

I can't bear it either and I can say we never noticed anyone smoking in any of the enclosed public places. I was also pleased that we could book a no smoking room at the Cheyenne- which was great as it meant the rooms nearby were the same- so no chance of smoke wafting in from the neighbours. Maybe you could request the same at your hotel?

I always thought all the rooms were non smoking untill our last trip- we stayed at the cheyenne- sitting bull, when we came back form the parks the whole top floor smelt of smoke- Altho as i only gave up smoking 6months ago i prob didnt smell is on other trips. How are the designated areas working out? in WDW i was impressed at how well hidden and out of the way they were- alto its great they now have this at dlp, i'm not sure they are positioned that well as most are outside toilets/places that non smokers would have to pass.
