Smoking Rooms at Dolphin

Can anyone tell me what the smoking rooms are like at the Dolphin and where they are located? Yes, I know smoking is bad for you--my DH has been trying to quit but has so far been unsuccessful. I've stayed in other hotels where the smoking rooms were just really run down.

I'd like to indulge DH with a smoking room since he's sweet enough to take us to WDW, but I want a nice room, too!

Hi Amy. I don't know, but it looks like I'm you're only taker. I'll just say that last year I had room 9025 requested because it was an EPCOT view - smoking. I don't know if it has a balcony, has been renovated, etc. But I believe it had a good view and it was a smoking room. We didn't end up staying, switched to AKL instead. But we're going to stay there next month, and I've requested the same room.

On my stays at the Dolphin I have always requested smoking with a balcony and always have been pleased. My last 2 trips the room had 2 balconies.
The rooms have never seem run-down or anything to us.
I'm not sure how far the Dolphin is with the renovations, but you could end up in a renovated room.
I don't remember the room number, but it was on a higher floor, with a balcony that was a half moon shape and another smaller square balcony.
I don't think you will be dissapointed; the Dolphin is one of our favorites.

I am glad to see these posts about smoking. I arrive in just under 2 weeks at the Dolphin. I have requested a smoking and balcony because I don't want to smoke in the room, this is a Mom-son vacation. When I called a few months ago, the desk told me that the highest level of smoking rooms are the 6th floor. But that may change since the Dolphin is booked to capacity during our stay.

Thank you all for the info! I feel much better about this now. We don't want DH getting cranky on vacation!

We're so excited--our first time at the Dolphin! 31 days...woo hoo.
