Smoking rooms at AKL?

I just got our ressie confirmation in the mail and I realized that I forgot to request "non-smoking" for our upcoming stay at AKL (3/11-17). Then it occured to me that the CM didn't ask. Are there no smoking rooms at AKL at all? If not, then I won't bother calling back.

We stayed in a non smoking room in November. I don't think they have smoking rooms.

Yes, there are smoking rooms at the AKL. All savannah rooms are non-smoking, but the standard and pool view rooms do have some smoking optional rooms.

Ok, we are in a Savannah room so we should be all set for a smoke free environment (excepting the "balcony puffers" -- but I won't go there! LOL!). Thanks for the help!

There are savannah view smoking rooms! We had one! There is a whole wing of them, at the far end of Zebra trail on the 4th floor, Uzima savannah side.

I would suggest calling to add it to your reservation, just in case, although I don't think it will be a problem. When we were there, part of the resort was closed, and we chose a smoking room with a better view over a non-smoking room that didn't thrill us. Our room was actually fine, but walking the hallway to it was like being in an Atlantic City casino! Ok, that's an NJ reference, but picture lots of people sitting in the same place for hours, smoking non-stop!

We had a deluxe smoking room at the very end of the wing in 5595.

When we were there in May 2002 - we had a smoking room on the 4th floor - room 451? - it overlooked the watering hole on Zebra Trail - Great Room!!!!

As other posters have noted...there is smoking availability with Savannah view rooms....there is however...NO SMOKING on the balconies....(there are cameras everywhere...we never saw anyone smoking on their balconies)...

The AKL is an AWESOME resort
