Smoking in Orlando/Kissimmee Restaurants?

Hello,

I'm making my way through the best restaurants thread ( and taking notes for my "Orlando" folder, of course!) and I got to wondering - what are the smoking/non-smoking rules in restaurants in Orlando? Where I live it's totally non-smoking and the last times we went to Orlando we stayed on property and ate there too and it's all non-smoking.

Any ideas as to non-smoking restaurants or the rules in general in the area?

If food is served, it's smoke free. No smoking in any restaurants in the area.

Brilliant. THanks for the quick reply. To be honest, when it's just my husband and myself I can suck it up, but I'm really particular about my son sitting in a smokey restaurant and now that I'm pregnant I'm really careful myself too.

NO smoking in all restaurants in the state of Florida. people may smoke if they sit in an outside patio seating area.

I was SO HAPPY when this law was finally passed & went into effect. I absolutely HATE the smell of smoke and hated tasting it when eating when people around us were smoking.

And for those interested, House of Blues and Hard Rock Live also band smoking in their concert halls. (You can get food at HoB, so that might factor in)

It's great to go to a concert and breathe!

Sloppy Joe's in Key West filed to get the ban lifted just for them. denied.

It's a percentage thing.
If a bars revenues come more from food than liquor then you can't smoke.
There are some places in Tampa/St Pete that allow smoking and I don't know how they get around it.
