Smokers beware--Washington state

......of course, I remember being little (5 or 6 maybe?) and sitting next to my mom in the "smoking section" of the plane on our CT to CA trip. hehehe (could you imagine that today?)

Can you imagine smoking ANYWHERE you wanted to, no non-smoking sections? I used to light up as soon as the 'no smoking' light went off, along with probably over half the plane.

Does anyone really believe that the police are going to waste their time on this except for the occaisional case to make a point? Just another law like jaywalking to make people feel better but that is generally ignored

WEll in Florida--the restaurant can be fined. So, yes I do think they'd waste their time on it.

Not so at the bars in Manhattan that I go to on the weekends. It's been great to go out and not be choked by the smell of smoke or come home with your clothes and hair reeking. It was tough at first for friends who did smoke, but they eventaully got with it and I feel like even smoke less now b/c they have to exert the effort to go outside.

I love the smoking ban - it makes the bars a much better place to go, in my opinion.

Is so for when I'm there. As I posted already especially in Williamsburg(Brooklyn) and the East Village (Manhatten). I was there last in the late summer, so I just spoke to my friends there, and they said, "yes, it's still like that."
