Smoke Smell??

[Disney Ontario]

Hi. DD17 was microwaving some Kraft Dinner. In the mean time she came down to the basement to talk. The whole kitchen filled with smoke..We were once wondering about the microwave a couple of weeks ago. Now I am not taking any more chances and we HAVE to go get another one.
But now our whole house stinks.
HELP me get rid of this awful smell.

Okay, from a family who had to deal with a dog who REPEATEDLY killed and ate skunks a couple years ago...

1. Wipe down the areas in your kitchen with vinegar or vinegar and water. While vinegar can be a strong smell, it will help reduce the odour.

2. Do you have any whole coffee beans in the house? If yes, throw some into a bowl - they absorbe odours. Worse case scenario, take some unused coffee grounds, and do the same thing.

3. Back up to coffee, open up some baking soda. Put into bowls, it absorbs odours MUCH faster than when left in the box.
