Just as it says, please make sure your stuff works and is in date. All these things have experation dates where they do not work as well. And the older ones need to be tested and have the batteries changed. Thats in the camper and at home. Recently, by me a few died in a camper from carbon monoxide. This is avoidable. They just had a bad fire in Philadelphia home ( I know not a camper) where 17 died. They had smoke detectors but they were not working. These things, while costing more now because of the 10 year battery are still cheap insurance. And If I get 1 person to check there stuff , I'll be happy. Be safe.
 
@Sjm9911 when we were painting the condo took all the smoke detectors down to paint and before we put them back up changed all the batteries 😊
 
I use the ones that can be plugged into an outlet and actually give a digital reading. Have the 9v battery backup.
