Smiths/Kroger Buy 10 Question

I have a question about the deals this week. The buy 10 get 5.00 off. I have a coupon for capri sun buy 3 get 1 free. My question is should I count the free one in the 10 or should that be my 11th item? I'm not trying to cheat anything I just want to make sure I have the right amount of items.

Since you enter/swipe your store card first, and do the coupons after, the item would still count towards the 10. Great coupon=Amazing Savings!

A couple months ago I used a BOGO Belvita coupon during a mega sale. It still counted as two boxes for the purposes of the Buy 10.

When the cashier presses the total button, the mega savings will come off (assuming you've hit a multiple of 10) as will any e-coupons you may have loaded to your Kroger card. Then, they will ask you for your coupons.

As such, it also works this way with any items that will be free after a coupon.

I shopped the mega sale this week at Kroger and paid $55.34 for $176.98 worth of groceries. I went home with free mustard, toothbrushes, floss, and other items that still counted towards the 10 item requirement.
