NYE plans, we're going to our church to play cards, watch the ball drop (maybe) and just have fun with our friends. We love our church family so much!

That is so great that you have a group from church who you consider family. I wish we could find a group like that. Sounds like a GREAT New Years Eve.

Candy cane pie? Is that the peppermint icecream pie (Edy's?)!!!! I have that recipe posted on my fridge. Ohhh, details, details

No...better than the ice cream. It is heaven in a pie plate. I'll try to post a pic.

Wow. I'm in shock. Another sad day in 2009, the drummer for the band Avenged Sevenfold.. died today. I just heard the news about his passing. So sad.

I love that band, so much. It's very unfortunate.

so sorry, prayers to his friends and family and his fans.

All the in-laws are coming for a few days for a combo Christmas , New Years , and 2 of our kids party.

do they have to travel far?

Very nice! Ahh....I remember that day like it was only yesterday.

New years at our house is usually quiet. We grill steaks and shrimp (regarless of snow), have Candy Cane Pie for dessert, let the kids stay up til midnight, watch the ball drop and then drop a bunch of balloons from our second floor. Sometimes we'll also go outside w/ fireworks and silly string. Kinda corny, but the kids love it.

That sounds like fun and the candy cane pie sounds delish. We made Santa Clause cupcakes, they came out really cute

I did least to last favorite thing today, laundry. Then, once dh got home, we went to Red Robin.... yuuuum. And then, we went to one of my favorite retails store's Target.

I have some pictures to share b/c even at Red Robin there was a hidden mickey.
