Smartphone through Walmarts StraightTalk ?

I have an ATT phone and an ATT SIM with ST. They no longer sell the ATT SIMs but they do sell T-mobile SIMs that work in unlocked ATT phones.

True - what I was speaking-of (and I think OP, too), is the actual iPhone that Walmart sells, is made specifically for Straight Talk, which means it should be ready to activate with no hiccups.

The main difference between your iPhone and the ones Walmart sells (besides networks, which can be significant in itself) is that you most likely had to tinker with your phone a bit to get everything working?

That has been holding me back from StraightTalk as well. 2GB is not much nowadays! Just the Pandora streaming I do in the car would eat that up quickly. I'm on an old grandfathered T-Mobile plan that I'm paying close to $70 a month for with taxes and fees and whatnot, but my data is truly unlimited. It would make me nuts to be throttled.

Using Pandora on Straight Talk (or Net10) while on the road?

Anyone considering this, you may want to re-consider, as America Movil (ST & Net10's parent company) frowns-upon streaming via the cellular networks, and has been known to cut-off phone service with no warning...

I'm just going to stick with T-Mobile and shut up then. Gotta have my Pandora. :thumbsup2

Ah, I see what you are saying.

You know, I went to Walmart to ask about their iphone for $25/mo payment plans and they assured me UP AND DOWN that it was an ATT phone.

I knew it wasn't, but the Walmart guys were insistent.

I did have to change the APN settings although it wasn't a big deal for me.
