You guys tell me...has my Disney obsession taken over my marbles??? :rotfl:

I have a "Theme Park Music" soundtrack set that came with both a CD and an audiotape. It is DL/MK ride music, such as IASW, POTC, HM, Tiki, etc. I have been listening to it everyday with my 8 month old because I figure if he is used to the music it will enhance his experience in November, LOL! :wizard:
Especially Grim Grinning Ghosts...he LOVES the song and I am hoping it might make him more interested and less scared on HM. Anyone else do stuff this crazy to prepare their children for WDW? :confused3

Don't feel like a freak! I always put on our old trip videos and the Disney sing a long song tapes for the kids for a few months before we go just to get them more psyched!
You will have a great time!
:cool1:

It makes your trip fun. B/c I had a better time this time than I did last time we went 4 years ago b/c I was more alert and noticed more things and coming on the boards helped alot.

We listen to nothing but Disney music in my car, and my DS is 9. :rotfl:

I am a nanny for a little girl who is almost 4 and her brother who will be 2 next month. They LOVE the Disney music and I am sure when they get a little older and their parents take them to WDW they will recognize the music. The little girl is so funny - she just comes out singing all sorts of things. You never know what song will pop into her head. She really likes the POTC song, and if you ask her if she is a pirate or a princess more often than not she says she's a pirate. pirate:

You are not a freak. Either that, or I am a freak, too. :rotfl2:

I played the Disney planning video for DS all the time before our trip. he was 17mo when we went. We would talk about everything, the characters and how big they were, the magic, the different rides and pretend spooky.

When we entered MK DS just pointed and started yelling "Disney Castle Disney Castle" (that's what he called it..not Cinderella) He knew what things were and wa stotally fine on all the rides. We must has have sounded silly on HM. We held him and kept saying "Look at those silly ghosts popping up..peek a boo...oh he scared me..hee hee" Whatever it takes right!!!

You are not alone!!

The disney planning dvd is our favorite dvd and is played several times a week between disney movie DVD's. In my car we have not 1 not 2 but 7 cd of disney music. Right now our favorite is disney mambo 5, and my DS is spouting off little know facts about disney such a how many tennis balls does it take to fill the can at all star sports. (9.5 million enough to reach the cays) And my DD is telling everyone the blonde joke about disney left.

Me I have a 325 page book I have put together on Park info, etc.

So if you are nuts, we need shock treatment.

I have that same CD/cassette. Its in the minivan with DH(stay at home), DD(6), DS(4), and DD(2). Whenever we go anywhere as a family I make sure that CD is on. DD(2) used to listen only to IASM so if she was awake that was on repeat. On a trip home from Maine last summer for 1 hour and she screamed everytime it got close to the end of the song. I think she must have loved the ride when we went to WDW when she was 11 months. It was closed last year for rehab so I can't wait to see what she thinks in October. Now that she's 2 1/2 she'll most often listen to the whole CD and all 3 kids really like "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow...." and DD(6) likes the HM song too. She wouldn't go on it last year so I'm hopeful she'll go on this year.

Now I'm the really crazy one. I've got a CD changer in the car I drive to work. I've got the 5 CD set of Disney songs and that's what I listen to most often. When I drive my older 2 to school they request songs and I know the CD and track number of most.

No. I got it at Walmart well over a year ago. I do love Christmas Tree Shop but haven't been there in a while. I can go to Ocean State Job Lot at lunch and often find some great deals there too. Lots of great coloring books-lots of Disney ones too. This week I went to Building 19 and got a bunch of Disney Read Along CD's. My kids LOVE these. They will all sit on my son's bed and listen to them. Even the 2 year old. I had to control myself and only bought 5 of them - Toy Story, Lion King, The Incredibles, Mary Poppins, and Tarzan. I think they were a great buy at $4.98. I haven't opened them yet but I think some are both CD/cassette and some are CD or CD ROM. I may go back to buy the ones I left behind.....

Are you familuar with the book "Don't let the pigeon drive the bus?" My kids LOVE that book that my niece gave to my DS for Christmas. Well Building 19 had "The pigeon finds a hot dog". I like the bus better but $2.98 for the hardcover its a great book! Here's a link to it on Amazon: Pigeon finds a hot dog

Have fun shopping!

A fun thing to do to feed your obsession is go to live365.com and search for disney. They stream all sorts of obscure and not so obscure Disney music.
