Smallest contracts sold

Interesting that all of these are either beach club or saratoga springs.

i would be tempted to buy a tiny contract for a 2054+ resort on resale.
Resale would be tough. It would be nice to be able to add on small to a resort you already own, otherwise it’s kind of a waste, but if you only needed a few to be able to cover a certain room in a certain season it could be helpful.

I don’t know if it would be a waste but much more useful if you already own at a resort already for sure. I would just treat the small contract as OTUP as I would be using them for 1 bedrooms at the 7 month mark most likely.

This is why I bought a 50 point contract at AKV. I was going to buy SSR or BLT but couldn’t find a good deal in my use year. The nice part is I can also see using the AKV at AKV for occasional solo trips and it might be nice to have priority there for cheap room options. But my dream was a tiny BLT in my use year. Couldn’t find one; they get snatched up quickly.

That's along the lines of my thinking for a 60-pt add-on we just did for PVB. We didn't own there yet and it'll be handy for rundisney type short visits (2 nights). Was initially thinking I should add on a small one where we already owned, but this would be used instead for variety and small studio trips. Adding on at ccv where we had a stack already still wouldn't be enough to move up to cabins so I'd be waiting for 7 month mark anyway. Might as well have a little diversity in our options and since it's direct we can use it any of them.

Yeah, my 50 point AKV is probably the one I’d be most likely to upgrade to direct (for use at VDH or maybe the Fort cabins).

Looking at https://www.dvcforless.com/listings and selecting the inactive listings, they show there was a 15 point Beach Club a couple years back
I've always assumed that some of these micro-contracts were splits. But who knows? I vaguely remember, back when I was in college--which is a long time ago and before I owned DVC--there was the possibility to buy very small contracts just after 9/11. In florida, for the year after 9/11, everything was on sale. As I recall, I bought an annual pass--with six extra months--for under $200 at the Disney Store in town. I was living in Florida then, and like a moron, I didn't buy one of those small contracts, because I'm pretty sure that one of those very small contracts would've given me a blue card until 2042. But I vaguely recall some fire sales during that year which involved very small contracts: I only recall looking at one possibility and thinking that this would cover a couple of nights a year--but why would I need that, as I lived in Florida? (Again, very short sighted.)
