No, not the ride, which is one of the scariest ridees in all Disney. The world is very small.

Many years ago we were sitting for a show at Discovery Island and a family came in and sat down right next to us. It was a family we knew from one of the kid's schools. Neither of us knew the other would be at Disney. A big surprise.

Yesterday we were eating lunch at a small Mexican place on 535 and a car pulled in next to us. It was our best friends who had just landed at MCO who were stopping at a Subway in the same strip mall before checking into AoA. What are the odds of that happening?

It always surprises me when this happens.

One time on a trip many years ago I ran into a co-worker of mine at the lobby of OKW; he was checking out right while I was checking in.

On our last trip to WDW, we wee having breakfast at H&V. A lady came up to ask me if I was from ______________. It was DH's cousin, & she was seated next to us!

On our trip next week, we are going with another family from church. There are several families from our church & town going since it's fall break. I wonder if we'll run into any of them when we get there? It is a big place, so we could go the entire trip without seeing any of them.

I agree.. What a small world! Makes me rethink my outfit choices... Have finished sewing family outfits for AK... Often wear matching. Shirts and silly hats :p. I once met my cousin at MK. We have a large family and I had no idea she was going! I've also met several of my students over the year. It each and have gone during Spring Break. Since we are from Canada, we don't expect to see familiars faces! Disney is just so popular :)

11 years ago this month my DH proposed at EPCOT after a day of enjoying the F&W. Not ten minutes later while walking in front of the Morocco pavilion, we ran into my Mom's best childhood friend and her husband (who are like family to me). It was so fun actually being able to share the big news with someone we knew. (My Mom already knew it was going to happen since DH had asked her.)

Then last year I ran into a friend and her family who were visiting WDW for a family wedding. We didn't know that we would be there at the same time - she lives in WI, and I live in SC and we ran into one another at Disney....crazy...

On our very first family trip in 1990 we were walking down the stairs in Swiss Family Treehouse and heard the family in front of us mention a restaurant in our neighborhood that we know well. Turned out that they lived only 1 minute from our house!

Then a couple years later we were driving into Universal's huge parking garage and followed the attendant's directions to pull in to the front of a double space parking slot. Imagine my surprise when the couple who pulled in right behind us included a woman I work with every day and her boyfriend. Neither of us had even mentioned our trips to each other or determined which day we would be at Universal on our 7 day trips!

FYI...You're being stalked!

My daughter convinced us to follow a family around Canada's Wonderland once and we tried to be in the background of all the picture they took. I bet they were a little upset when they looked at the pictures - long before digital! :rotfl2:
