Small world vacations vs. Dreams Come True?

Hi there! If anyone has used these TAs, please tell me why and what you liked/disliked about them. Also, if you've priced around and got a lower price from one TA but you like the other one better in terms of the ease of planning, could you tell the TA that you like that you got a better offer and if they could match it?

Also, about the codes that everyone on DIS talks about. Do I have to ask my TA to check for me or will they do it themselves?

Just thought I would get some opinions before proceeding with booking my trip. Thanks in advance.

I have used Small World for 5 trips now (three completed, two pending). My agent is Barbara and she is wonderful. Prompt replies and she gets it done. We have a tendancy to change our minds about what resort we are staying at and she never bats an eye! For our first trip she talked with me on the phone several times (and DH too for that matter) answering questions, giving us advice. She got us our tickets for MNSSHP and booked a ps for Cindrella's Royal Table breakfast (will be forever graterful for that one). We booked a package for that first trip and I remember posting on this board what we were paying and every response I got was that it was a great deal and run with it, which we did. Now that we have AP's she just books our room only nites so we usually just communicate via email. We recommended Small World to my husband's boss and they were thrilled too with the agency and Barbara as well! Good luck!

One more thing it is invaluable to use a TA like Small World because they keep an eye on rates/codes. All three trips she has ended up getting us a better rate after the initial booking. So nice because then I don't have to keep an eye out for codes and then hold with CRO for hours after they come out. I don't even worry about that anymore because I know she'll take care of us.

I am using Magical Memories Travel and am very happy! I requested quotes from a few different agencies and they gave me the best rate (they have a special group rate for my travel dates). The service has been fantastic too! I have no complaints at all. They are very thorough, really knowlegable and nice to work with too. They've kept us posted on all of the different changes out there from the best rate program to the new 90+10 dining thing and how that would affect us. We've been told to expect an email about 100 days out to remind us to give them our choices for dining and they will take care of it for us.

I have no idea if other agencies would have matched the lower price they gave me. I didn't ask. I was happy with the service as well as the price so I didn't worry about trying to have it matched. It would basically be asking another agency to match an AP rate without me buying an AP.

Hope you find an agent you are happy with! I think all of the Disney Specialist agencies have good reputations in general.

We have been very satisfied with Small World that we found on mousesaver.com last year. Great agent and wonderful service. Last year Josephine changed our original AAA discount two times (always with our permission) as better deals/codes came out and saved us $800.00. She also made all our dining reservations for us. I will never again waste my time doing it through Disney since Small World can do it better and since it's FREE!

I used Leigh at Small World Vacations to book our cruise/WDW trip last January...she was great, and we got a great rate at the WL. I would highly recommend them...I got a personalized folder with the cruse information, and she was very friendly on the phone.

I am using DCTV for my first ever upcoming Disney World trip. I have booked other vacation packages through TA's in a brick and mortar location and I never got the high customer service level I am currently receiving.

I can't say there's anything I dislike about them, but I do like the resort and restaurant recommendations that were made to fit my budget, I like that I was told no amount of questions were too many because they wanted me to be comfortable with my vacation. I like that I am replied to in a timely manner with no details left out.

I requested quotes from about 5 online Disney TA's. They pretty much all came back the same price for what I asked for. I went with DCTV because they were the fastest to respond and provided the most detailed answers to my questions in the first email. First impressions...

We are using Cissy at Small World for the 3rd time because she is so helpful! I'm going in late Oct. and taking some other family members for their 1st trip, and so far I have changed resorts twice! Cissy is very understanding, and I feel that she is always looking out for a good deal for me. I highly recommend her!

It just depends on which company has the best DCL rates at the time I book.

HI! I am currently booking my vacation through Small World with Tracy. She has just been great. She has answered all my questions and best of all ... she's helping my mom with HER reservations also! I would highly recommend Tracy and Small World.

I would recommend Stephanie at Small World. I just had her book a trip to the Beach Club for the end of November and first part of December. She was very helpful and answered a lot of questions. I had to switch dates so I could get a better rate on airfare and she was glad I got a better deal. I feel better knowing there is someone looking out for me. Codes etc.... Go with Small World.

I love love love SueEllen at DU.. She rocks. She has been great about communication and sometimes, I get a little crazy. She always reassures me and doesn't make me feel like I am bothering her.

I am a pretty picky control freak, and I LOVE using DU and especially SueEllen. That says alot, for me to give up control to someone else.
