Small World Re-opened!

Yep. Not sure if someone has already posted, but we went to the Halloween Party last night and it was open. The most major change I noted was that the exit/entrance had been swapped. Instead of going down the ramps to get onto the boats, you go over the bridge and around, and board on the other side. The exit goes up the ramps. Also, they emptied all the coins from the water. I couldn't tell too many changes in the ride itself. I saw an Irish scene I didn't remember, and I think that the Moroccan scene was changed, but I can't recall what, exactly was different.

Yeah, we're staying down here for the week and when we got here on Monday and heard it was closed, we were disappointed as well.

Thanks for the info. We will be at WDW in November and I would be disappointed if Small World was closed. The new line configuration seems interesting.

It really makes sense seeing as how IASW was one of the last rides in MK whose queue was still not handicapped-accessible. It will be interesting to see it in person when I'm there in January.

YEAH!!!!!! I love this ride and can't wait to go on it again. To me it is just a WDW classic and one of my few memories of my one an only trip to WDW (plus, I love torturing my two older kids with this one - just puts a smile on my face ). In fact I just got the ringtone for DD14 so everytime I call her she can hear this wonderful song.

If not for privacy, I would say you should post her phone number, so everyone can call her and drive her friends crazy with endless "Its a small world after all" music over and over again... just like the ride!

I didn't notice anything different about the ride, and the same has been posted on here. I saw a couple missing dolls and noticed that this guy was finally back though!

I don't care for this new set up at all. Half the fun of IASW for my family has always been trying to time our rides so that we'd see the clock open up while waiting in line. Now you're going to be stuck behind and see nothing? Here's a pic of ds running through the line. That doesn't seem like a very fun spot to wait to me.

This also had us wondering if the new exit area is going to have more strollers choosing to park by Mickey's Philharmagic instead of the big area on the other end. Was this intentional?

I didn't take very many but here are a couple more. I meant to come back around and ride again later, but we never made it. These are from yesterday around 9:30am.

Exit is on the end there at the right.

leaving the ride. you can see the loading down there. The right side where most of the people were leaving has the handicap markings on the floor.

Exit. Ds holding it open to let a couple of CMs in. He's such a sweet guy. No more turnstiles.

Thanks for the pics! At least it doesn't have that ugly wall up around it anymore like it did when we were there the first week of October. So now one tiny little corner of Fantasyland looks normal.

So before we would always take the left cue, was faster, now that it's reversed do we still stay left??

Really just kidding, but I feel like I'm going to be confused with the new cue. I don't like going behind the clock either, won't this make people exiting the ride, stop when it goes off, so they can watch?

Wow, that's a pretty major change considering how long the ride has been there.
I wonder why suddenly they changed it?

Not that it effects the ride at all, getting on and off were pretty much the same

I am very tempted....she didn't know I did it and also didn't realize I took her phone off vibrate. I leave for work early and called her to wake her up for school I got a Mommmmmmmmmmmm on the other end. Then she forgot to turn off the ringtone and someone called her while she was in class...she freaked out because they usually confiscate the phone because it is strictly prohibited. Her teacher must like her because she just got a nasty look. I finally got to use that annoying phrase they constantly throw at me "My bad...."

No Disney characters were added. We were behind someone today that opened the gates at the new entrance with her ECV. Started to say she should go to the exit but she just glared at me. She found out when she got to the loading area that she went to the wrong area.
