Honey, the world is full of small minded people. Being gay doesn't mean you have ethical underpinnings or class. Some people just use the community for their own needs and then spew venom when they get the first opportunity.

The DIS hasn't been a fun place in some time. That's why so many of us no longer post here on a regular basis. It's all about who you know and how many mods you cry to...

Getting a life seems to be beyond so very many people anymore.

I didn't understand what had happened until today. I'm sorry for the idiots out there. These are the same kind of people that are causing a stink over a hand gesture at the Super Bowl. The same kind of people that would rather ignore the real problems in our world and hide behind self-righteousness to keep "evil" people like a lot of us on here from living our lives. I know everyone will move on and have other places to go. But that's not the point, the point is the "morality" (whatever that means) police are once again ruining it for everyone else as they sit on their high horse. And we can say it doesn't matter, it's just a chat board. The problem is it's happening on a bigger level. So as much as we don't want to we keep ourselves out there and at the same time try to lead good lives in spite of the *******s.

I am utterly confused and clearly missed something going on.

It has been quiet here ever since people got afraid to talk about anything for fear of being political and then got REALLY quiet when we lost Rob, so I don;t check all that often.

Obviously something upsetting occurred, and I wonder if it has anything to do with Mike posting for Wally on Rob's thread I hope not, Wally was always one of the people I liked here.

Anyway, I am sorry about small minded people who come over here and say and do hurtful things in what should be a safe place. It is bad enough to have to deal with that out in the bigger world and wider board, it should not come here.

Small minded people who suck support from everyone until they decide they want to be as hateful, mean spirited and intolerant of members of the gay community as Fred Phelps will hopefully learn about karma.

Sit and post about family DRAMA that no one gives a rats exit hole about.
And when someone come on and tries to bring a dead board back to life has to run and tattle on everything they say until that person is booted off the board.

The mentality of the people who won't allow -- gasp!! -- fun on these boards is the same as the ones who feel Disney is for kids, so gutting all the adult entertainment options is acceptable. Why are we keeping the conversation on the boards appropriate for young children and those raised in caves by religious zealots? I've learned to live with vicious stroller wielding parents, fakers on ECVs, people who walk abreast (oops, is that okay?), those who want our help reusing reusable mugs, and people who park at Boardwalk to walk in the international gateway. THIS pisses me off.
