Hi Everyone!

I am planning my first DCL trip and I have a very basic question:

Are there activities for a 2-years old kid?

Browsing around I found lots of activities for kids from 3 and up, but very little information on small kids.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

2 yos can use Flounders, which is a pay per the hour child care on the ship. You could accompany your child to the club for 3-7 yos but not leave them unattended for some of the activities with the 3-4 yos.

There are also a lot of family activities on the ship that you can participate with them.

You'll love it! Your 2 year old can stay in the club as long as you stay with her. My DD was 2 the first time we cruised, and she loved it. There is always plenty to do.

We were very disappointed with the activities for that age group. My DD is 2 1/2 and most of the family activities were too late at night. (Ones that she would be interested in) We also visited the club but the counselors were not keeping the older kids (7-8 yr olds) away from the smaller ones. My DD was playing in a small area with a slide and a couple of fish to climb on and was pushed off the slide several times by the older kids.

My advice would be to read some of the navigators and see what your family would be interested in before booking. We had a good time on our cruise (Nov. 13th) but will wait until our DD is older before we cruise again.

Hope you have a great time and hope the navigators help in making the decision.

There are times in the club when the 5-7 yos go to the lab or another spot on the ship. You would need to look at the navigators to determine this but it can be done. There would only be 3-4 yos then. Some of the activities like learning to be a Mousekateer with Mickey are really cute & they are very organized. When I went with my 3 yo DD the first time I sat close to them. You would probably be right there with your 2 yo so there should be a problem with other kids. You have the right to say something to them if they were to push your child down. There were not alot of kids in the club when they opened, especially on at sea days. This seemed to be a favorite time for the younger kids to go with their parents. They were able to explore the pirate ship playground then too because the big kids weren't around.
