A few years ago, VB left turtle magnets in the rooms, and in December, we had a giraffe magnet left at AKV. I just went into my frig for coffee, and the little giraffe caught my eye. It's always nice to have something remind me of our DVC!
We just got back from a whirlwind trip to Florida...a birthday trip, west coast of Florida mostly and 1 night at WDW, and it was great that Marriott and WDW treated me to little surprises. California Grill's food was excellent, and the free picture of DH and me is a great souvenir!
We had one night in Pop, and we had a room overlooking the lake, which was very nice and peaceful. I wonder if Disney will ever do anything with those buildings. For one night we enjoyed Pop, but I did miss the ability to make a cup of coffee in the room. The pool temperature was wonderful, and I was able to enjoy a swim yesterday morning before our return to Ohio.
Temps were 38 and less in Tampa when we arrived on Wednesday. Our Marriott's pool was beautiful, but not heated at all, or didn't seem to be. At any rate, we were busy, busy busy there. Imagine we went to WDW to relax, and we did, in spite of a very large crowd at MK on Saturday night. The California Grill meal at 6 was so wonderful that it just set the stage for us to have a great evening.
