Hi everyone! Me and DH are heading down in October for a long weekend (yay Food and Wine!). I’m looking to not spend a lot of money on the room. Right now I see availability for Pop Century and Caribbean Beach. I booked CB but nervous about the construction. I don't have the time to read the whole thread about CB so was hoping to hear people’s thoughts. We’ve never stayed moderate or value. Thanks!

I've never stayed at CB but did a quick budget trip in February at POP. Rooms were just renovated, bus service was good, nice size pool, I had no complaints.

If you aren't in room much CBR is great. Especially with Island Markets and the new Spyglass grill.
Stayed Pop last October for F&W and MNSSHP and the buses were great!

Both resorts are quite spread out by to me, CB seemed more so. The rooms at the CBR are a bit larger but the downside for me is that it still has quite a bit of construction going on. That in itself would make Pop more desirable for us. Pop also just went through a renovation on the rooms so from what I have read, it's looks nice and fresh. Pop is a cute resort and in a decent area of the resorts ( easy to get to most areas ). The buses worked out great too when we stayed.

We just stayed at Pop in February/March and it was so nice having the new rooms! I actually had looked at CBR first, but I didn't like how much construction was going on. Since it's such a short trip and you are looking to save money I would go with the cheaper resort.

Thanks for all the replies! One thing I forgot to mention is both resorts are the same price. The AP discount for CB brings the price to the same as POP. So since no price difference would POP still be better than CB with the construction going on?

Ok. So I found a discount for POP. I’m going to stay there. With the discount it’s a whopping $40.23 cheaper than CB and it’s a preferred room. And I’m excited to walk over to AoA to check it out. Thanks for the help!

Hi, may I ask how/where you found a discount for POP? Thanks!

We have stayed Pop twice for our quick weekend food and wine trips. We don't pay for preferred but always request the 90's building bottom floor and have quick short walk across the paring lot to the busses and Classic Hall. Most people don't request that one but we think it works great and we seem to always get it.

Never stayed value before the beginning of this trip, but split with AllStars and loved it. I say go for Pop, plus easy walk to AoA and another bunch of things to look at and another food court.

Not sure if I can say but the website starts with O and ends with Z. Code was HEATWAVE

The DIS requests that users spell out every businesses full url. Then if it's a business that is banned from the DIS, their filter will just xxxx it out. You can actually get infractions for trying to avoid the filters.

Thanks! Not sure if I'm supposed to do something but again thank you!

If you are spending most of your time at the park and only use the room at night, I would book Pop Century. We booked Pop Century for Dec 3rd-7th.
