So, I'm going down this weekend, and I need to know whether or not I can wear my very small backpack (it's not like a "school" backpack, but more like a canvas/aged leather surf bag). I'd really like to bring along something that I can store cameras/phone/bottled drinks/souvenirs, and I would have no difficulty carting it around (compared to my 50 lb school backpack, this pack is heavenly).

However, is there a rule against backpacks? If so, do I have to prove that it is my purse* and create a ruckus about fair treatment? :lmao:

Thanks for the help!

Nope you are cool with it! They will search it of course at security but then you are ok. If you want to call it your purse you may! That's entirely up to how you feel that day! :rotfl2:

By that statement, I mean: I am probably overplanning this, based off of my necessity to post a thread asking about what kind of bags I can bring. :lmao:

It's Monday... I have things to do between points A and B. I must remember this... :headache:

:rotfl: Ah you know I'm teasing you! I still want to adopt you! The purse thing would be alright too!:rotfl2:

Oh you can totally wear a backpack. Lots of people do. My mom and I went shopping for one before our last Disney trip and we got ourselves a small leather one because it would be water proof for all the water rides. It was a life saver. Mine was a small but big enough to fit both my video camera, my digital and my bottle of water and some small gift shop items. It was great.

Actually a friend of mine asked this question the other day because shes coming with me on my next trip in a few months and I told her to go invest in a leather one. It only makes sense.

Hey I am going to be there this weekend too! :cool1: See you there... backpack and all!!!!

Hi fellow Seattleite! I will be there next week as well! Maybe there shoud be a Seattle reunion! There seem to be quite a few of us headed out before spring break!

We bring a decently large backpack (not a frame pack or anything) and have never had trouble with it. Of course we're travelling with two small kids, so I guess they understand we need diapers, snacks, etc.

Two Disney trips ago I bought an adorable plush lion backpack for Disney. It was just the right size to hold necessities... trouble is I thought I'd use it only at Disney and here it is two years later and I use it every day!

44 yrs old and I carry around a stuff lion backback:eek: Thank Goodness my family loves me and isn't afraid to be seen with me!!!

I was at Mervyn's yesterday and they had some cute Tink and Minnie messenger bags on sale for $12. I am thinking about getting one for my May trip. They were a nice purse size, not book bag sized and had some pockets and I.D. card slots. I am looking for a bag that I can wear diagonally. I have carried backpacks in the past at amusement parks and my leather one gets too heavy and it's awkward for the rides. It makes it tight when the bars are over your shoulders, and I don't like looping them around my legs.
