You also don't have to match your use year if you're buying resale. Our use year doesn't turn out to be particularly convenient for us (March...we often travel in Dec. or Jan.) so I might actually look for a resale with a different use year. If you budget your points completely separately, I don't see where it would be a huge issue. I believe if you purchase an add-on from Disney they will only sell you the use year you already own.....so if you want to move away from your current use year a resale would be your only choice.
So if I added 25 points through disney and my use year is Feb.....then my use year for the add on must also be feb? and then I wouldn't be able to get the extra years points cause feb would be 2010.......is that right?
