Day 2
Even after the long day we put in yesterday, we were so excited to be at Disney that we were awake by 6:30am. Mornings seem like a good time for AK so off we went. Got the first bus over. Arrived at AK around 7:45 they were already letting people in the park but we wanted to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. So we lounged around the shop until 8:00 so we could eat breakfast. Didn’t get done with breakfast till 9:00. There was no wait for ITTBAB. Did it. Then Festival of the Lion King. Very impressive show. It was a lot of fun. Hit the other rides in this order:
Dinosaur- 15 minute wait
Flights of Wonder
Kali River Rapids- 30 minute wait- this ride was a disappointment for us. Thought it was short in duration. would have like something more. The themeing in the waiting line was fabulous, and the ride seemed unfulfilling.
Pangani Exploration Trail- This trail was so crowded we couldn’t get near anything to see. So we walked thru without stopping. Disappointed again. May have been time of day. It was noon.

We then left the park at 12:30 because we had a big night(E-ticket) planned and wanted to be rested. Plus a thunderstorm was coming. The clouds were forming. I had got the notion in my head that Yacht Club Galley was a food court(may have just misinterpreted the name). So on the way back we got off the bus at the YC. Learned the Galley was a sitdown place so we headed over to Beaches and Cream. Looked crowded. Decided to try and relax with some room service. We had PS for Crystal Palace that evening and wouldn’t need anything big. Just enough to hold us over.

Room Service we ordered: Fish and chips, Clam chowder, Apple cobbler. We already had soda in our room so no need for that. We split the above between the 2 of us. Fish and chips was an adequate amount of fries but 2 small pieces of fish. Total for this :
$22.70
+$1.55 tax
+$3 trip charge
+4.09 18% gratuity already included
$31.34

Probably should have eaten at the Galley for that price, but it was nice to have the extra time in our room to relax. Which of course we didn’t do for long. Off to Magic Kingdom. The rain had come while we were lounging in the room. Once again good timing.

AT MK I wanted to do Hall of Presidents- waited about 10 mintues. This show is done on the hour and on the half hour.
PiratesOC - no wait
Snow White- 20 minute wait
TTA- no wait
Space Ranger- 20 minute wait

Dinner at Crystal Palace, here all I will say is Adequate Food quality, good character interaction, and we happen to have a lousy waiter. Not bad enough to keep us from going back. Like I said earlier we had a PS. Good thing because they were turning away anyone without one. Some people were mad. We got out just in time to see the Spectromagic Parade. It was probably the highlight of my day. My feet were killing me from all the walking and standing we had done that day, but somehow that all melted away when the parade started. After the parade we were trying to make it over to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan’s flight. We were right at the end of Main Street. It took forever. Masses of people where either standing still and holding their spot for the fireworks or trying to leave. It was miserable. We made it to Peter Pan in time. We were one of the last 20 people to ride it. For E-ticket it we did all but TTA, Country Bears, Orbiter. We left by Midnight. My feet were absolutely dying by this point. To much activity. The bus ride to the hotel seemed to take forever. Stopping at Swan/Dolphin then YC then BC. Poor Boardwalk people had an ever longer wait

Some of you may have noticed we haven’t done a lot of what others might call MUST SEE ATTRACTIONS. We were at Disney Feb. 2000 and we wanted to try to hit things we hadn’t done the previous time. Plus even though we are normally commando tourists. We were trying to SLOW down. Smell the roses. That sort of thing. Also you may notice we haven’t used a Fast Pass yet. We also go to Rollercoaster Theme Parks- like Six Flags, Cedar Point, Kings Island. We are use to standing in long lines. So we will just wait in a line if a ride time is less than 30 minutes. Call us crazy, but it works for us. We do use FP. Especially at MGM.

some day.....will get enough courage to get room service besides the pizza......thanks for posting
