I am nutz!! I was talked into a slumber party for her birthday and I am really quite clueless.

So far I have two crafts, decorating butterflies and painting shoelaces. And my daughter wants to watch the new Tinkerbell movie.

The girls will make their own pizzas and decorate their own cupcakes.

Should I set a bed time?

Should I plan more activities or just leave them alone?
Maybe have back up activities... hmmm

Any Suggestions on what to do with my other two children?

Thanks bunches!!

We did "light as a feather, stiff as a board" with blankets and pillows all around, twister. The craft was coloring pillow cases with fabric markers where everyone signed everyone else's. They also made "sleeping bags "for a stuffed animal or american girl doll with the fleece that's fringed and you tie it together all around. I did the fringing beforehand, they just neede to tie.
It was great fun.

I have done 2 slumber parties - I believe that organization and control is the key to success and getting everyone to bed at a decent hour. I usually make up a list of activities with an approx. time table and try to follow it.

Organized games and activites until 9:30 - at 9:30 time for jammies and set up slumber bags, with the goal of everyone being in their place (in their slumber bag) by 10:00. I then bring out a snack - usually popcorn or fruit/veggies and dip.

Start the movie and sit with them to contol the getting up and down etc. With any luck, most will be asleep by the end of the movie. 2 years in a row they were all passed out by the end of the movie - Princess Bride is a favorite.

Now, if you are smarter than me like the Mom of one of DD's friends you will have a "Half Sleepover" Invite says: Arrive at a party at 5 in your jammies with your slippers and favorite stuffed animal - lots of food and fun, depart at 9 to sleep in your own warm comfy bed.
Now, that is one smart Mom! DD just got this invite for this weekend, she is soooo excited. We got the B-Day girl Footie pajamas as a gift.
