Slowest time of year

Do folks have experience with travel in the middle of January? We are going for Martin Luther King weekend and staying through Wednesday. I'm assuming that M-W should be pretty light.

We've always gone in January and will be there again this year. Parks to close earlier BUT instead of waiting 20-40 minutes to get on an attraction, I have walked right on or maybe a 5-10 minute wait. PLUS with Fast Pass, I got right on most times.

My kids always talk about how we did the Space Mountain 'circle' for an hour and we got on about 6 times..it took longer to walk there and out than anything else.

Weather is in the low 70s...

We were at the World the 3rd week of October in 2003. It was more crowded than we expected that time of year and there seemed to be many families from Britain (maybe its a mid-semester break for kids).

The one thing that you should keep in mind is the International Food and Wine festival. There are lots of fun and tasty events but if there are restuarants in Epcot that you have your heart set on dining at, you should make reservations as soon as you can.

It was in the mid-80s every day and we had no rain (but I think that was a little unusual).

October used to be a great time to go, but then people caught on....................kids have off school around columbus day and families vacation during those times. I found the last week of October/1st week of November a good time (except Halloween) a good time, and it is still warm!!!
