Slow mail from Castaway

On our Magic cruise during the second week of last December we dropped a couple of post cards to ourselves at guest services since the Post Office at Castaway was closed. We had kind of given up on them, but they arrived today. But the Castaway Cay postmark was "APR 07 2022". Guess they stayed on the ship for a while!

Still waiting for one we mailed on January 2, 2004. The Post Office on Castaway Cay was open so it was mailed there.

Our first trip to CC was in 2008. We're still waiting for one of postcards we mailed then to arrive.

Has the post office on Castaway been open recently (like in 2022)? We mailed 4 postcards on our last cruise (October 2019) and they did take forever but everyone finally got them (including the one we mailed to our home address).

When we mailed postcards to ourselves from Castaway Cay, we got them and then and only then remembered that we had sent them. Dont think it's Snail mail, think its Conch mail

We sent 3 postcards from CC in early January (but actually dropped them in the slot on the island) and they arrived last week.

For those waiting more than 4mo, did you use a Bahamian stamp?

Yes, was mailed October 16th, 2022 from Castaway Cay, informed delivery finally shows it arriving today (was postmarked from Bahamas on February 8th, 2023.
