My name is Karen, when I was younger children would try to call me Kaz but I hated it and refused to answer them!! So no I don't go by a shortened name.

My nickname from my family is Baby Bumbala, but then it was cut to Bumbala and then Buim. My mom asked my sister what she wanted to name me when i was born. It stuck for life!!!

DH calls me breadhead because if there is bread , I will eat it. It doesn';t last long in the house becaseu Bread is my weakness.

Most shorten Jennifer to Jen. Which drives my mother crazy.
Baseball/softball teammates or associated w/the teams call me HooHoo or JD.
When DH and I started dating, his group of friends had 3 Tony's, so they always refered to each other by last names, so when were are around them, they call me either Hoov or Hoover (maiden name).
DH and the kids will call me boo-boo or Moose. But they all know that if I ever hear them calling me Moose outside of the house, that they may not make it back home.

LOL That's so funny. I call my mom Moose, too.

Now to my answer. My nickname to close friends is Double D. My first name begins with D and so does my last name.
